Privacy Policy
What we do with personal information, in plain terms. We are a supplier, not an advertiser — we collect what an order needs and nothing else.
1. Who we are
M.M. Salonga Trading is a trading company at 175 Toclong II-B, Imus, Cavite, supplying government facilities, hospitals, schools and private institutions nationwide. We are the personal information controller for the information described here, as that term is used in the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).

2. What we collect
We do not run advertising, we do not profile visitors, and we do not buy or sell contact lists. Everything below is information you gave us, or that we recorded in the course of doing business with your office.
When you request a quotation
The request form and the assistant on this website ask for four things: your name, your email address, your phone number, and — optionally — the name of your office, school, hospital or company. Any items you added to the request are stored with it, along with the reference number we issue you.
When you become a customer
If a quotation becomes an order, we keep a customer record holding the same contact details, together with the order itself: what was supplied, the agreed figures, delivery arrangements, whether it has been paid, and any notes our staff made about the delivery or the site.
When you write to us
Mail sent to our published addresses — including team@mmsalongatrading.com, sales@mmsalongatrading.com and accounting@mmsalongatrading.com — is delivered into a shared mailbox that our staff read and reply from. The sender’s name and address and the full text of the message are stored there.
What we do not collect
- No payment details. Nothing on this website takes a card number or a bank account. Payment for an order is arranged separately, offline.
- No sensitive personal information as the Data Privacy Act defines it — nothing about health, race, religion, political affiliation, or any government identifier.
- No tracking. There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel and no third-party tracker anywhere on this site.
3. Why we collect it, and on what basis
The Data Privacy Act requires us to have a lawful basis for processing. Ours are these:

4. If we called your office
We should be straightforward about this, because it is the part most people would not expect. A large share of our business does not begin on this website — it begins with a phone call from us to a municipality, a school or a hospital.
When that happens we record, in our system:
- the name of the office and where it is,
- the name, title, phone number and email address of the person we were directed to,
- notes on what was discussed and what to follow up on,
- any proposal or quotation we subsequently sent.
We treat these as professional contact details of a person acting in their official capacity, and we rely on our legitimate interest as a supplier to institutions that procure the goods we sell. We do not use them for anything other than offering and supplying our products, and we do not pass them to anyone else.
If you would rather we did not hold your details, say so and we will remove them. One email or one phone call is enough — see section 7. You do not have to give a reason, and it will not affect any dealings between your office and us.
6. How long we keep it
We keep records for as long as they are needed for the purpose we collected them, and for as long as tax, accounting and procurement rules require us to.

When a period ends, the record is deleted or anonymised. Where a record must be kept for tax or procurement reasons we will say so rather than delete it on request.
7. Your rights, and how to use them
Under the Data Privacy Act you have the right to:
- be informed that we hold information about you, and why — which is what this page is for;
- access a copy of what we hold;
- correct anything inaccurate or out of date;
- object to processing, including asking us to stop contacting you;
- erasure or blocking, where the information is no longer necessary or was processed unlawfully;
- data portability, to receive your information in a usable electronic form;
- damages, where you suffered them because of inaccurate, unlawfully obtained or unauthorised use of your information;
- complain to the National Privacy Commission.
To exercise any of these, write to privacy contact address to confirm or to hello@mmsalongatrading.com, or call 0954 457 6000. Tell us what you want and enough for us to find your record — a reference number, or the email address you used. We will respond within a reasonable period and will not charge you for a first request.
If you are not satisfied with how we handled it, you may complain to the National Privacy Commission.
9. Children
This website is for institutional and business procurement. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date shown on it. Where a change is significant, we will say so on the homepage rather than rely on you re-reading this.
